Jill Walzer, Class 2008, Marketing and Education Manager Estée Lauder - Clinique (Europe- Middle East- Africa) Paris, France
“I work for an internationally recognized cosmetics company in marketing and education. I was recruited for this job because I have an international background. English is the language we use in the office, like in a lot of international companies. We have people from a lot of different cultures in our office and this was not new to me, since I was always in an international environment at the American Business School. I am definitely using all my marketing knowledge as well as all the finance and accounting that I studied at school.”
Zoran Berkovic, Class 1999, Associate Director for Finance in a pharmaceutical company (Cephalon Inc.). Philadelphia -USA
“ I arrived at The American Business School in 1998 as a transfer student from another business school in Europe. My transition was quick and smooth thanks to the very supportive school administration and students. There were students from France, Europe, Africa and the USA… Needless to say the students were multicultural and multilingual coming from various backgrounds. These experiences of working and interacting with people from different backgrounds (i.e., cultural and professional) helped me a lot later to advance in my career.
My experience in the American Business School was definitely a treasured academic phase. As a goal-oriented person, I always knew what I wanted to do and accomplish in the long-term. Fortunately, ABS was very instrumental in making that journey smoother and worthwhile. The diverse background of our tutors and administration was able to give me an experience that is definitely hard to find elsewhere. I wasn’t only tested on class work, but the discussion off class and assignments expanded my horizon. In the midst of it all, the school’s multi-cultural student background blessed me with global knowledge and marvelous friends. “
Sandro Gohoho, Class 2005, Senior Vice President of International Sales Echelon Studios, Inc, and Co-Founder act2be.com, Las Vegas, USA
“The effective teaching methods combined with internships provided me a great tool to compete for jobs on a global market. The time I was in ABS, I had the chance to work in at least 2 continents and it boosted the credibility of my resume. De facto, my classes in Entrepreneurship, Marketing, IT, International Relations and International Business where very valuable in shaping the way I think today. The other moral binding Career Management Program class had an impact as it brought to light most of the details and loop holes to avoid in our professional careers ahead. This was proven when I took a trip to the US and applied for jobs and received over 7 interviews in just a matter of 4-5 days. I was able to choose the job I wanted and today I’m the face of my company – handling all the international trips and negotiations in 4 continents. At age 24, this was possible and even though all my colleagues in the movie industry are in their 30s, I’ve been able to compete successfully because ABS gave me both knowledge and confidence to make it happen despite the odds.”
