Innovation and new programs at The American Business School of Paris
Dr. Fady Fadel, Dean of ABSParis delivered an interview to the French Magazine « Le MOCI » : why choose ABSParis, our added values, the innovation process integrated in Academics and the Students’ professional development. “Our goal is to accompany our students to acquire technical and soft skills in order to be operational and meet the recruiters’ expectations”
Internationally, Dean Fadel talked about the dual degree agreements signed between ABSParis and other American sister universities: Rider (New Jersey), Pace (New York) and Franklin (Ohio). Furthermore more than 80 partnerships are set with Colleges and Universities worldwide, allowing our students to study abroad and earn international exposure during their studies at ABSParis.
On the hand, the added values that ABSParis brings to its students community is summarized in three points:
- The implementation of the American pedagogy in all our programs, since more than 33 years. It is a participative and interactive approach, based on case studies, teams’ projects, oral presentations and textbooks.
- The internationalization of the curriculum: more than 66% of our students are internationals coming from 70 different countries. The intercultural approach in classes increases the intercultural behavior towards our students
- Our programs are adapted to the Corporation expectations. No gap between theory and career development.
Finally, Dean Fadel noticed two major areas where innovation took place this year: the upgrading of the French degree related to the BBA program by the French authorities: it is now a “Titre 1 International Manager”, equivalent to a French Master’s degree, thanks to the program quality, Alumni placement and salaries.
The second innovation area is the implementation of a Dual Degree program in Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) at ABSParis in partnership with Franklin University in Ohio. The students enrolled in this Doctoral program will acquire the top management and Leadership skills in Business Administration and obtain a DBA from Franklin University as well as from the American Business School of Paris
