THE « SERVICE FRANCE GARANTI » QUALITY LABEL REINFORCES THE COMPETITIVENESS OF FRENCH COMPANIES

The « Pro France » association strives to promote the “Brand France”. In fact, France is a great example of how a country can work on its “brand” to attract investors. The “Pro France” recently announced the implementation of a “Service France Garanti” certification which aims to promote and defend the “Brand France” in all sectors of activity. This initiative joins that of the « Origine France Garantie » label (made in France) created ten years ago and which “ensures consumers the traceability of a product by giving a clear and objective indication of its origin”. A QUALITY LABEL TO BOOST THE COMPETITIVENESS OF FRENCH COMPANIES

Yves Jégo, founding President of « Pro France » and former Secretary of State, affirms that this initiative aims to strengthen the competitiveness of national companies while meeting consumer expectations in terms of access to information. This new certification also makes up for a number of shortcomings. For example, the origin of a service was not previously regulated by any system, allowing misleading markings.

Thanks to the « Service France Garanti » quality label, consumers will now be able to benefit from clear, transparent and objective information on the nature of the services offered to them, their origin and also their compliance with social and environmental standards.

The creation of this quality label also aims to strengthen the attachment of companies to the country and the community while encouraging the maintenance and development of French production and the return to France of productive activities that generate jobs abroad.

 

WHAT DOES THE « SERVICE FRANCE GARANTI » QUALITY LABEL GUARANTEE?

The « Service France Garanti » quality label covers different business sectors. It may concern the company’s main activity or a specific service, such as after-sales service or customer service.

The certification is particularly aimed at telecommunications corporations such as SFR, Free and Orange who often relocate their after-sales service and customer service to countries such as Morocco, Senegal or Portugal.

This quality label is thus a strong guarantee to consumers who want to buy services made in France. It helps them identify services that are provided from the country. The catering and distribution sectors are not concerned by this certification (for the moment).

 

HOW TO OBTAIN THE « SERVICE FRANCE GARANTI » LABEL?

To claim the label for their services, any interested company must apply to two “independent and recognized” certification bodies: Bureau Veritas certification and AFNOR. They are invited to fill out a file and submit it to these two bodies for assessment.

An audit takes place to validate the information communicated, in the light of the specifications. A certificate valid for four years is then issued and its renewal is subject to a new audit. The certified company will also be subject to an annual audit.

« Pro France » plans to issue around 100 certifications within a year. Plüm Energie, which provides green electricity to individuals and local authorities, was the first company to be awarded this certification. Its customer service is entirely based in France, in Saint-Denis and Bordeaux.
